Autopsy results still pending in Nassau drowning

Updated:

Autopsy results were expected Tuesday night on the teen that drowned in a Rensselaer county creek Monday.

What is known for sure is that police do not expect to find that alcohol had anything to do with the 17-year-old Alexander Sager's drowning.

Sager was swimming with a friend in Nassau's Kinderhook Creek when investigators say he went under and never came back up.

It took divers nearly two hours to find his body.

NEWS10 spoke by phone with the owner of the land along Old Route 20, near Bliss School House road. He said that, despite what police at the scene said, the area is not a popular swimming hole for locals.

He maintained that the land is private property, posted with no trespassing signs.
