ALBANY -- NEWS10 is excited to announce the creation of NEWS10 at 4:00pm, a weekday newscast that will feature news of the day, weather and a unique perspective to daily issues facing women, children and families in general, in the Capital Region.

In addition, NEWS10 has hired Lydia Kulbida to team up with Elisa Streeter on this new newscast. With Steve Caporizzo handling weather, we feel this forms the most popular anchor team in the Capital Region.

"I was looking for something different, something I could really be proud of.  This is that opportunity, says News 10's Lydia Kulbida. I think this 4:00pm newscast gives us a chance to explore and give greater depth to topics that are really important to the Capital Region. I'm really excited to join NEWS10 to make this happen".

"I am so excited to have this chance to work with Lydia. We have a lot in common.  We're both working moms, committed to the Capital Region and making our communities better places to live and work", says NEWS10's Elisa Streeter.

NEWS10 Chief Meteorologist Steve Caporizzo adds, "This is going to be great. The entire Capital Region will benefit with the addition of this 4 O'clock news.  An early start on the news and weather of the day, plus I'll be working with two super people."

"This is an exciting day for us at NEWS10. We're going to be doing something unique to this market", says News 10 News Director Rob Hubler. "We thought long and hard about this newscast and how to make it work.  I believe we have the right team in place to make this a huge success".

In addition to the new 4:00pm newscast, Kulbida will be a regular contributor for NEWS10 at 5:00pm, 6:00pm and 11:00pm.

"NEWS10 at Four" begins September 21st, followed by "Inside Edition".
