NEW YORK (AP) - A suburban New York teenager has been charged with two bias attacks since April.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe (ZOO'-gih-bee) says he finds it disturbing that the suspect was arrested while out on bail for a previous hate crime charge.
In the latest incident, a Hispanic youth was slightly injured with a BB gun Monday night in Airmont. Ramapo police say the 18-year-old shooter wore a shirt with a swastika and a Ku Klux Klan symbol. He's charged with assault as a hate crime.
In April, he was among five teens arrested on the same charge. Authorities say they shouted "white power" while beating up a Hispanic victim in Sloatsburg.
In both cases, the suspects and victims knew each other.
