MECHANICVILLE -- A Mechanicville mom has been arrested after police say they found marijuana in her five-year-old son's bedroom.

Police confiscated several pounds of marijuana in Ziploc bags and mason jars in Katrina Dancz's Cypress Street apartment. Dancz has been charged with criminal possession of marijuana and child endangerment.

Police say pot plants were all over her son's room, even on his sheets and toys.

They believe the drugs were part of a large distribution operation.

Lt. William Rabbitt says it seemed to be that somebody would be growing the plants, or they were growing the plants elsewhere, delivering the whole plants there and then using the apartment to dry out the marijuana, cut it up and package it for sale.

Dancz was released from jail on a $20,000 bond.

Her husband may also face charges. Police say they want to talk to him when he returns from an out-of-state business trip.
