SCHODACK, N.Y. -- One person is dead and two others are injured after a head-on crash that kept a busy Rensselaer County road closed for most of the night.
The two cars involved in the crash were barely recognizable. It happened Wednesday night at the intersection of County Rt. 20 & School House Road. Police say an officer from Nassau was following one of the cars moments before the fiery crash.
Police also say they are looking for a green Jeep Cherokee that is believed to have been in the area at the time of the crash. The Chief would not say what role if any the Jeep may have had in the accident.
