FULTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- NEWS10 learned late Tuesday night that voting machines in four Fulton County towns malfunctioned, meaning that votes could not be counted and were impounded.

The malfunctions affected the Towns of Broadalbin, Northampton, Oppenheim and Perth.

It was originally feared that the issues could have delayed results for the highly contested race in the 23rd Congressional District that, hours later, was won by Democrat Bill Owens.
