Future of Hudson River dredging discussed

FORT EDWARD, N.Y. -- The first phase of the 40 mile project to remove the cancer causing chemical PCB wrapped up last month.

On Thursday at 6:30pm. the EPA will hold a public meeting at the Fort Edward firehouse to talk about what they accomplished.

They'll also discuss plans for the next phase of dredging which will stretch all the way from just south of Fort Edward to Troy.

Phase two is scheduled to begin next year.

Officials from the Environmental Protection Agency want to tell people about the future of the Hudson River dredging project.
