Ashland, N.Y. -- A Devastating Fire Destroys the Town of Ashland's Town Hall, Fire Department and Garage with all the fire trucks and one ambulance inside.
All the fire trucks and one of the two town ambulances were destroyed early Sunday morning, according to the Green County Sheriff Department.
The call came in at 5:55 am and Alshland fire fighters were the first to respond but had to fight the fire with out the use of their own trucks. Six other companies responded and two ambulance companies, including the only remaining Ashland Ambulance.
The Town had just purchased some brand new Fire Trucks and one new Ambulance.
The old ambulance was the only one not destroyed because it was involved in another incident Saturday night and was parked at the Fire Chief's house, according to police.
Responders were: Ashland FD, Prattsville FD, Windham FD, Jewett FD, Lexington FD, Hensonville FD,
Ambulance companies: Ashland and Prattsville
On stand by were Delaware and Grand Gorge FD's
Arson and HAZMAT are on the scene investigating as well.
