WTEN: Albany, New York News, Weather, Sports - Ortiz issues clarification on his proposed restaurant salt ban

NEW YORK CITY -- The man behind that push is saying "hold on a second".
Assemblyman Felix Ortiz announced a proposed bill this week to ban the use of salt in food preparation in restaurants.
On Friday, Ortiz sent out a clarification on that proposition, saying his intention is ban salt as an "additive".
He says salt is necessary as an ingredient in some recipes, and in those cases, should by all means, it should be included.
