GUILDERLAND, N.Y. -- A Guilderland woman, who works as a special education teacher in Albany, has been arrested for sexual abuse charges.

Police say Wendy Daignault, who works at the Thomas O'Brien Academy of Science and Technology (TOAST), inappropriately touched a 14-year old girl last summer.

According to police, the alleged crime happened in Guilderland and not on school grounds, and the victim was not one of her students.

Daignault now faces charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
