Hudson Falls Teacher's Aide Arrested

(posted: May 26th, 7:45pm) A teacher's aide, who resigned over allegedly inappropriate e-mails with a student, turned herself in Thursday.

Thirty-one-year old Karlie Hall was arraigned Thursday afternoon in Hudson Falls Court. Hall was hired in March, and worked in the computer lab at Hudson Falls High School, where she allegedly exchanged the e-mails with a 14-year old student.

Most of the e-mails exchanged between the teacher and student are so sexually explicit they cannot be paraphrased. .

The boy's mother learned of the e-mails during a meeting with the vice-principal. No one from the school district would go on camera, but the superintendent told NEWS10 by phone that the aide resigned her position sometime in the past week.

NEWS10 was told Hall has known the boy for years and is right now in the process of divorcing a relative of the boy's family.

Hall was charged with public lewdness, child endangerment and unlawfully dealing with a child. She is currently being held in the Washington County Jail. The boy's family said they may file a lawsuit.
