The WTEN-TV Broadcast Scholarship

If you are interested in an exciting and challenging career in television, here is an opportunity to help fund your education. WTEN-TV invites you to apply for its annual Broadcast Scholarship. Each year a College of St. Rose student will be awarded $2000. The scholarship is to be used to defray college expenses incurred earning a broadcast related degree.

Funds will be made payable to The College of St. Rose.

Eligibility Requirements:

• To apply, you must have completed 60 credits as of November 30th, 2009.
• You must have an academic record that is above average
• You must be majoring in broadcasting, journalism, communications or a related field      
• Previous WTEN scholarship winners are not eligible

Complete the application form and include with it the following materials:

• Completed application
• Academic transcript
• 2 brief letters of recommendation
• One page written statement of why you are pursuing a career in broadcasting

I wish to apply for a WTEN Broadcast Scholarship. I understand that the decision for awarding scholarships are the responsibility of the WTEN-TV Scholarship Committee and that the committee’s decisions are final. The WTEN Broadcast Scholarship will be awarded on or before December 1st.
