Thousands of GE Employees Could be at Risk of ID Theft

There is news that thousands of current and former GE employees could be at risk for identity theft.

A company employee's laptop computer was recently stolen from his locked hotel room while he was traveling on business.

The laptop contained names and social security numbers for about 50-thousand GE employees across the country.

A GE spokesman tells NEWS10 that there is no reason to believe that any data is being used criminally, but he says all employees are being offered a one year subscription to a credit monitoring service.
