Police Say Not Enough Proof to Charge Mohon Teacher

Updated:

A Mohonasen school teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student will not face any charges.

Police say there is not enough proof to make an arrest. However, the school district is still conducting its own investigation, and officials have put the man on administrative leave.

The suspension comes after allegations the tenured teacher became involved with a 15 or 16-year-old girl. No names are being released.

According to a report filed with police, the alleged incident happened last year, when the man was tutoring the girl.

The suspected teacher has already hired a lawyer, but the man remains on leave indefinitely.
