The AIDS Council of Northeastern New York is a not-for-profit human service agency whose mission is to reduce the risk, fear and incidence of HIV infection, encourage the independence of people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and promote understanding of their needs.
-
Since its inception in 1984, the AIDS Council has provided essential support service to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families and has prevented new cases of HIV infection.
-
Each year we serve 1,000 HIV-positive individuals and 500 family members while also reaching thousands of at-risk individuals with HIV prevention interventions, professional training and outreach programs.
-
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the AIDS Council's Client Emergency Fund, which supports clients in need with emergency housing, utility costs, food and mental health services. Funds will also support the AIDS Council's innovative prevention programs such as preventing HIV infections and sexually transmitted diseases among at-risk youth.
