Capital Region Soldiers Fly Out to Assist Albanian Army

Posted:

A group of Capital Region soldiers are heading to Albania on a medical mission. The New York Air National Guard's 109th airlift wing will spend three days overseas showing the Albanian Army about vaccination procedures.

The five enlisted airmen and women leave on Sunday. They are based at Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia.

The soldiers will teach Army medics there how to administer the Hepatitis A vaccine by working with them to inoculate 1,000 local children.
