Weather permitting, Pet Connection will invade Joe Bruno Stadium on Saturday, August 22 for Steve Caporizzo Bobblehead Night!
The ValleyCats will play a double-header Saturday against the Vermont Lake Monsters and NEWS10 Chief Meteorologist Steve Caporizzo will be the guest of honor! Steve will throw out the first pitch to kick off an exciting night of baseball and Pet Connection fun.
Here's what you can expect:
- The first 1,200 attendees to the game will receive a free Steve Caporizzo bobblehead.
- A pet adoption clinic will also be held at the stadium - and don't worry about adoption fees, because Pet Connection will pay for all of them!
- Dad's Pet Care, our good friends, will hand out free dog and cat food, as well
- Collectible Pet Connection t-shirts will be also sold at the game as a fundraiser for the animals. Each shirt is blue in color, features the new Pet Connection logo and has the date July 13, 2009 on it - the day Pet Connection returned to NEWS10. Only 500 of these shirts have been made, so pick one up before they're gone and help out our Pet Connection shelters.
The gates for Saturday's game open at 4:00pm and game #1 begins at 5:00pm. Steve's first pitch will happen about ten minutes before the start of the game.
If things are rained out, the game will take place on Sunday.
