The first of more than a dozen allegedly neglected horses taken from a Rensselaer County stable is with a new owner this weekend.

Seventeen horses seized back in August have been living at the Easy Street Rescue in Amsterdam.

On Saturday afternoon, an Arabian named Boo was given a new home. Her new owner came out to pick her up and bring her to a farm in Hudson.

Easy Street Rescue owner Nina Bellinger says other horses rescued are also ready to come to a new home.
