Here's the latest Stormtracker Forecast from NEWS10 Meteorologist Katie Virtue
MORE OF THE SAME
A dry start to the day will be followed by more unsettled weather this afternoon through evening. The combination of "unstable" air over the area, being heated up and therefore becoming more unstable will result in scattered showers and storms. Also a disturbance dropping down from Quebec Province will enhance the instability so some storms could produce gusty winds with hail. Hail will probably be the more significant concern for today.
Tonight clouds will linger with the storms ending this evening but a stray shower is still possible overnight.
During tomorrow another, stronger disturbance will slide southeastwards from Canada causing widespread shower and storms. Again some storms could produce hail and gusty winds.
The weekend won't be perfect but it won't be a washout either. Cold air aloft will become heated up and made unstable during the afternoon hours so once again there could be a shower or storm during the afternoon. Right now Saturday's activity will be isolated to widely scattered; Sunday's activity could affect a few more of us.
